The professional's choice.

Sometimes you have to write notes to yourself. Maybe it's for a presentation. Maybe it's for a meeting. Maybe it's for a presentation you're giving at a meeting. Whatever the situation, index cards are a great way to keep your notes concise and organized. Their compact size means they travel well and easily fit into any suit pocket (or purse/makeup case for women in the workplace).

Unruled index cards

For hippies and communists only.

In the mid-90's my company was swept up in the "think outside the box" craze. One of the ideas we tried was to use unruled index cards. Productivity fell 14.7%. We attributed this to many or our employees taking time out of their day to add the lines on the cards. People just didn't like this little blank rectangle of paper. It gave no direction and was a bit too "edgy" for us. We've stuck with ruled index cards ever since.

Jaw-Style Staple Remover, Brown

What a lifesaver!

I have to staple things for work. But sometimes, I staple something that should not have been stapled. It's usually on days that I haven't had any coffee, you know what I mean!

Luckily, I always keep with me my trusty jaw-style staple remover. Mine is brown, but they come in all different colors. Like black, which I personally find kind of flashy, but some of you might like it.

My staple remover has saved me more times than I can count. The only thing I don't like is that you can still tell that the paper was stapled because there are holes where the staple was. There's not much you can do for that except print out the piece of paper again, I guess.

A Death row inmate's 3rd World Cuisine

White Rice

Mmmmmm rice.

Sunny D

Mmmmmm Sunny D.

If I were on death row and needed to select one last meal I would have what I call 3rd World Cuisine. Plain white rice and a giant bottle of Sunny D. Few combinations can achieve the explosion of flavors that come from this meal. The way the Sunny D lubricates my mouth as the dry white rice clings to its roof sends feelings of elation through my body. I can't eat and drink fast enough to satiate the craving that occurs when a giant bowl of rice (no soy sauce) and a giant glass of Sunny D are put in front of me.

White Crew Socks

Simply the best.

Cotton Low Cut Socks

Low rider.

If you're like me, you're probably wearing socks right now (Hopefully you're also not wearing sandals). There are two types of socks that I wear depending on the weather. During the colder months I like to wear these high white athletic socks under my jeans. They are a heavier weight than the socks I wear during the summer months and also come up higher on my leg which helps to keep me warm.

Once the weather gets warmer, I wear a lighter and lower cut sock. I prefer this sock because I really want to avoid a sock tan. Also, I feel that the heaver athletic sock keeps my feet too warm when it's hot outside. What sort of socks do you like to wear?
